Hometown: South Milwaukee, Wi
Family Members: Jon (Husband), Hadley (son - 2 years), Madeline (daughter - 5 Months), and Zara our dog.
Favorite exercise: Running
Childhood Ambition: To be a marine biologist or the president
Proudest moment: Pre-kids, my proudest moment was finishing a Half Ironman to raise money for New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. After kids, my proudest moments are usually getting out of the house on time or watching my two-year-old love sweetly on his baby sister.
Something that would surprise us: I love cooking! My husband and I meal plan every week and my son is starting to enjoy cooking with us.
What is the farthest you have been away from home? South Africa!
What does motherhood mean to you? Motherhood is a calling for me. For me, being a mother to my children requires a constant exercise in patience and love. To do this, I have to be best version of myself and I need to continue learning and striving to be better. This takes a lot of self-care and self-compassion!
How did you find FIT4MOM? I started Fit4Baby when I was pregnant with Madeline. I went for 6 months straight and loved the community, fitness, and emphasis on ME (MOM). I felt healthy and energized during this pregnancy and wanted to continue this after she was born, so I started Stroller Strides as soon as my medical team cleared me. I was so excited to hear about the Fit4Mom ideals and wanted to share this with other moms, so I decided to join the team.
How has FIT4MOM changed your life? Fit4Mom has taught me so much about the tribe of mothers out there that want to feel better and take care of themselves so that they can be better mothers. I love leaving class with a full tank of energy. It takes a very brave woman to show up for herself class after class.
